I had to put a small jack in my batt. tray and jack/bend it slowly open a little to get the Optima to fit in my 97 GTS. They weld the trays up at different heights on these cars and some do not fit without a little modding.

Optima red.A little bending to install.no problem in 5 yrs. Bruce

If you are not tracking your car and sloshing the battery around - then the stock or a Die Hard will work just fine. The Optima is a bit better for hard g forces and helps reduce the spilling / corrosion that tends to happen back there. If you've not had a problem with the corrosionon the tray and the bolts for the rear fascia - then just get a stocker.

It is funny, how time changes everything. One year, people are speaking highly of the Optimas. Now they are panned. Go with the Mopar. Easy. It fits. No problems. Keep it stock.
