I think that after the first run the guy with the supra thought it was a piece of cake.
ATCO is a nice track, i ran my zr1 there to a best of 12.1 @ 119.8 with off throttle shifts.
Your MPH would have been around the 120 range. Great car isn't it? Of course it will get faster with some mileage.
I waited until 1000 miles before i opened mine up, but this was probably overkill.

Too bad i don't live in SI anymore. I used to run to Etown, and ATCO often.

Good luck with the car.

Hey HEMI "congrats" terrific run against the supra, for stock your viper seems to be one of the strong creampuffs. The tranny in the viper really ***** i have the same problem with 3rd to 4th, i tried a new Z06 and couldn't miss a shift even if i tried to.

That is a pretty sweet run for a stock car. What altitude is your track? Is it a pretty decent track? How many miles do you have on your FE? I just put 1400 on mine and I want to take it to the track but I want to make sure it is fully broken in first. Sweet run!

Hey Hemi,

Awesome runs, 11's are my goal stock and then I start to play, so far 12.1.

The record that has been hashed out for ages on this board is 11.77 by Evan in a 2000 Rt/10, dismissing the creampuff notion. Others have stated faster at witnessed VCA events, I think Brunton went quicker than that, witnessed in a stock car.
Of course, that brings up the definition of a stock car. Smooth tubes and K&N's still is dam near stock (ACR if you want to get technical), others disagree.

Congrats on the runs!

My runs at etown were horrible. After about 4 runs the best I could do was 12.7. I missed 3 gear, my 60' times were like 240 (horrible). I drag-raced mustang gt's corvettes with little problems. The viper is a real challenge to drag race for me. But I really love my blue and white stripe beast sitting in my garage.
