Its been about a month now, as i have been having problems gettin a login in name on here, but i can now say..."I am a proud owner of a DODGE VIPER!!" I purchased a '94 red rt/10 with tan interior, stiched in red, with '02 wheels. The car is all i expected and then some. It does hurt being 21yrs old in the college town of Tallahassee attending FSU.....cup holders everywhere. As i have read on many of the posts, everywhere you go you see peoples mouths saying "Look there's a VIPER", its a great feeling to be behinde the wheel as jaws drop. WEll, just wanted to share my excitement with everyone, and i look forward to hopefully gettin to know other viper enthusiasts, and reading the great posts on this site.

Congratulations, Ryan. How fortunate it is to own a Viper. How rare it is to have one before you're 30. Welcome to the Viper forum. We look forward to seeing your pics. Happy Vipering!

i would love to post some pics...could someone please direct me as to how.

HOW TO POST PICS

Two types of instructions are given below. Locate the one that applies to you: A or B....

A. INSTRUCTION FOR HOSTED PICTURES:
If you have a pic that is already being hosted on another website, which means you can go to a website online by entering its URL...
(URL example: http://www.mgon.us/DDV%20logos/Daffy&Viper1a100h293w.gif ) ...and in so doing, view that pic, then what you need to do to post that pic in the Viper forum is first obtain the URL of the pic:

To get the URL of a pic, right click on it, and select Properties (located at the bottom of the popup window). The URL will be the long string of text listed to the right of Address and/or URL, beginning with "http://" and ending with ".jpg" or ".gif" or "bmp" et cetera. There will be some form of ending tag. If not, then you have not selected the entire string, and will need to drag the mouse downward while the text remains highlighted. Once you have the full string highlighted, copy it, past it, and surround it with these tags: [image] [/image], as seen below:

[image] http://www.mgon.us/DDV%20logos/Daffy&Viper1a100h293w.gif [/image]
Make sure there are no spaces between or within the brackets [][]. In the example above there are intentional spaces between the brackets, or you would not see the URL, but rather the picture I am using as an example.

B. INSTRUCTION FOR NON-HOSTED PICTURES:
If you have a pic that is not being hosted on a website, the Viper Club of America provides free hosting. In order to host your pics via the VCA, go to the Viper Photo Gallery by fallow this link:
http://www.viperclub.org/menus/index_media.htm

In the upper right-hand corner there reads: Home | Register | Profile | Login
Click "Register", and proceed by doing so - register. You can use the same username & password as that which you use for the Viper forum. Registering is simple.

If you have previously registered, click "Login", and proceed by entering your username & password.

Once you are logged into the Viper Photo Gallery:
In the upper left-hand corner there reads: My Gallery | Album Admin | My Favorites
Click "My Gallery"
In the upper right-hand corner there reads: Home | Profile | Upload Photos | Logout
Click "Upload Photos"

You are now in the Viper Photo Gallery Image Upload section.
There are two columns: left & right.
In the right column reads:

Username <--(your username should show here)
[Member Galleries] <--(this is the selection you want)
[___________] [Browse...] <--(button: Click to locate the desired pic on your computer - it cannot be over 200k in size, if it is, convert/reduce the file/size)
##,###kb (##, ###, ### bytes) <--(Disk space allowed on your account)
##,###kb (##, ###, ### bytes) <--(Disk space used on your account)
##,###kb (##, ###, ### bytes) <--(Disk space remaining for your account)
[___________] <--(empty box: Enter a title for the photo)
[___________] <--(empty box: Enter up to 10 descriptive keywords, separated by spaces)
[No] <--(this is the one you want)
[Upload/Submit] <--(button: Click after you have: 1. Located the pic on your computer, 2. Entered a title for the photo, 3. Entered up to 10 descriptive keywords.)

After you have uploaded the pic to your gallery, you will see it presented as a single pic in your gallery. For this next, and last step, click on the pic to make sure it is shown in full size. Single pictures are usually shown in small size, so by clicking it, it will appear in full size. If you click on a pic that was already in full size, it will simply reduce in size, so just click on it again to return it to full size.

Once you know that a pic is in full size, you want to get its URL. To do so, right click on it, and select Properties (located at the bottom of the popup window).

Note: If at any time you wish to see all the pics you have uploaded to your photo gallery, just click on "My Gallery" located in the upper left-hand corner that reads: My Gallery | Album Admin | My Favorites

THE END

Golly, gee. I remember when I was in college and was jealous when I saw dudes driving Vettes to class. My wish was 'someday, I'll be driving a Vette'. Well, that never happened. Luckily, I 'graduated' to a Viper. I am so jealous your first super car is a Viper!!!! Congratulations! It took me 30 years after my graduation to get where I am. I hope 30 years after yours your're still driving a super car!! And I hope it's a Viper!!!
Chris

P.S. I'll never stop loving my 94 Rt/10!!!

gotV10, CONGRATS on getting such an awesome car at such a young age!!! You will definitely be the envy of many...

Pardon me if you are very familiar with high HP HIGH torque cars, but plese be careful with that "GO" pedal...You know the rule, if the wheels ain't straight, hesitate...Meaning, don't get on the gas if you are in a turn, the rear wheels will break loose in a hurry!!!

Enjoy!! :D
