My GTS waaay down on power--why?

Believe it or not, it could be the battery. When my '96 wasn't idling well (especially when slowing down for a traffic light, etc), it turned out to be not enough voltage to the idle sensor.

Check your fuel level and / or sensor. I remember reading somewhere in my service manual about the engine going into a "limp home" mode when it senses the gas tank is almost empty. It would shut down some of the injectors & other stuff as I recall...

I'm with the battery theory too. Better yet, disconnect it for 2-3 minutes and reconnect it to reset the computer. See if that helps.

Could be a weak pump as well.

Low Voltage / bad battery. My firt vote

Fule Pump pressure fault a possible.

Bad plug wires / coil wires.

DONT discon the battery yet as it will erase the codes that the Tech needs to read to ID the problem !

In St. Louis, try Barry Hawn at Zeiser Dodge in St. Peters, or the Viper Tech at Royal Gate Dodge on Manchester (in Ellisville?). Barry's great - he works Saturdays sometimes, too, so you might be able to reach him tomorrow. I've heard the guy at Royal Gate is good, too.

I agree its the battery my cars went dead the other day same simptoms until I charged it overnight and ran it didn't go away until the battery had enough of a charge to idle properly.
