God bless PVO for building this car!
Anyone who has stripped a Viper to turn it into a race car can appreciate what they've done here. Further, anyone who has raced a Viper and is familiar with the shortcomings of the current GTS will really appreciate this car. It is pure race car, top to bottom. They've taken the knowledge gained from the ORECA GTSR program, the chassis and other improvements developed for the VGX, and the bodywork from the GTSR concept car and rolled it all into one heck of a package!
Yes, we've all heard 505 cubes. Here's some even better stuff: 14" rotors with 4-*** calipers on all four corners and ABS; suspension pick-up points optimized for racing, with improved suspension parts including Dynamic, remote reservoir shocks; cockpit-adjustable sway bars; and CV joints in the rear end.
The chassis stiffness, including the under-hood bracing and rollcage, looks terrific. I could not believe how spacious the cockpit was either. The functional roof scoop directs air onto the driver. Normal dash instrumention is replaced with an electronic dash.
Currently the rear wing is fixed, so if you want it to be adjustable, you'd better let PVO know.
That's all I've got time to report now, but I can still hear the sound of that new motor... and it was sweet!
