As silly as this sounds, a bad battery could cause low voltage and the throttle position sensor (or something like that) won't work properly...causing stall conditions.. I had this happen on my '96.

Could it be a bad cell in the battery? Was the car sitting at the dealer for a long time?

My battery was bad after two months. I did not have a stall problem but it may have gone all at once. The car sat for two weeks and would not start. I jumped it and went strait to the dealer and had a battery insalled right away. I would have it checked. I would hate to here you lost power at a bad time or place.
Good Luck, Dan
(Mark, Maybe it's a water bottle. LOL)

It's gotta be the battery. Sounds very similiar to what it was like when I got my last Viper after it had been sitting around for 7-8 months. Take it to the dealer and have your Viper Tech check the battery. It shouldn't take long, and get to know your Viper tech a little so when you do need him for maint. etc, he'll hook you up!
Best of luck!

It really sounds like the battery. Check it. Did it happen after not driving it for a while? Does it NOT happen when you drive it frequently?

I drained mine down once, still enough juice for the alarm, lights, etc, but not enought to start the car. After jump-starting, the car just wanted to stall. It evidentally has to "learn" how to idle without stalling and when the battery runs down it "forgets".
