Driving out from Chicago to see and visit with someone who’s going to be a Very successful tuner was a REAL treat for me, my father, my little girl and her cousin.

What we learned in our afternoon visit was of a tuner package that is going to be a VERY successful Twin Turbo setup. We spent some time talking about method. We discussed reason and approach. We focused on the Castellano Twin Turbo and what we saw was Mindblowing!

Each configuration with respect to the Twin Turbo is carefully mapped and planned. You’ve heard the old adage of “measure twice and cut once”? Paolo measures easily 10x or 20x the spec prior to cutting anything! This Twin Turbo package is NOT a collection of the aftermarket’s finest. This is something greater. This is an avid enthusiast turned fabricator who simply said “I can DO this!” We learned of each and every stage which involved planning, designing, test fitting, and lastly the implementation stage with each and every part being purposely placed and repeatedly reinforced for maxium strength. Each and every part was designed for maximum airflow. This car is going to be quite a car with specs that will blow your mind. I was very impressed with what I saw, what I learned and what I ingested. Again, each step along the way was designed for maximum breathing and exhaust. This project is as it appears...VERY PROFESSIONAL!!

I strongly encourage each and every one of you to speak with Paolo, even if you’re satisfied with your aftermarket solution, simply for the MOJO to say “Awesome Project!”

Cliff Notes:

THAT’S GONNA BE ONE FAST ****** F**K*R!!!

You will not be disappointed  ,

I will leave that question for Paolo to answer. Albeit, I'm sure it will be sooner rather than later.

The kit does look very nice and extremly powerful. It is truly a work of art....one that any poser would be proud of. lol. You have really outdone yourself.

Can't wait to come out and see it when it hits the streets. Take care.

Paola good to see you are sooo mild and meek, congrats on your project. Being in the Chicago area you should look up Harry Hruska at PTE. me makes the baddest TURBO'S PERIOD. Look into the GTQ series the power is mind boggling, Harry is also a great tuner with aftermarket stand alone computers. Good luck.

Ron, that's where I got my turbos! Harry is one hell of a nice guy! I actually drove there the day after I decided to do my own turbo system because I could not wait for the next day to get the mockup turbo in my hands. I am using a pair of GT40 Hybrids with a 67mm wheel on the inducer side of the compressor housing with a 4" inlet and a 3" outlet!

Paolo wise choice you will be very happy, Anderson's did a test with a competitors turbo a 72 vs PTE'S 70GTQ and picked up almost 100hp more at lower boost levels. If you ever need a beta viper for your test just send me the parts, ha, ha, I can always dream cann't I.

I've talked to Paolo too, and it does sound like he will have a wicked setup. I think it is very admirable that he went from an enthusiasts to building his own turbo set up. The only other person I think that did this was Jason T. from West Coast Viper some time back.

I can't wait to see the final result hopefully in the next few months!

Ron, I am planning to do a single turbo for forged piston cars that should be good for around 700-800 RWHP. The way I have designed the headers allows the flexibility to utilize either a twin or a single turbo setup. The price should be very competitive with the mid level supercharger setups that are installed by tuners. Remember, turbos are the preferred method to being blown! Ask anybody! ;)

I had the pleasure of visiting paolo on the 4th, we were at a party just hanging out. We started talking about it, then he asked if I wanted to see it. We jumped into his honda crv and let me tell you, I had no idea those things can take turns at 50mph. To be honest, when I first walked in the garage I was expecting a home made turbo kit. I was way, way, way, way off. This kit is unbelievable, the headers, the turbos. The whole kit is top notch fabrication and design. good luck pc

Isacc, I too was surprised with the neutrality of the 4-wheel drifting we did in my wife's CRV! LOL! Thanks for such a nice compliment! You will be one of the first ones to get a ride! :headbang:

Hey Manny how's it going? Did you ever get that exhaust deal figured out yet? Keep us posted on the raincheck date for you to race the hayabusas!

From what I remember, Jason T. had the Axis(out of San Antonio Tx.) turbo kit put on his car. I know the owner, Rob could not tune it properly and Jason did have to figure out exactly how to fix it. I am sure this is why Axis is no longer in the Viper tuning business...

Over the long holiday weekend, I personally did the wastegate and exhaust fabrication/welding/fitment for the driver side. I watched some of TOOOFST's guys in action. They are saints to let me look over their shoulder every second with my little hand held mask while they weld. I got to watch exactly how they use the heat of the TIG combined with the swirling of the tungsten tip to make the puddle travel. Trying to do it myself like them is not so easy, but with a little practice and it it is not really all that difficult to do a decent TIG weld. I actually got about an inch section of the weld to look like a stack of quarters on it's side(like the real welders). I can tell you that I do contaminate the tip almost regularly enough that the grinding wheel is still spinning by the time I go back to clean it off again! It's really fun and exciting to do all this fabrication work. I am sure it takes me 4-5 times longer to do it, but if I can work more intensely to move the project along with results consistent with what has been done so far, I will continue to learn and further my fabrication and welding skills.

JGK95 thanks, i also got an email from Paolo with some pics. My initial impression is WOW, he addressed getting the air in and out really well therefore boost should be instant. From what i have seen Paolo's turbo system is capable of making large hp however tuning must be part of the equation which i didn't see or hear what system he will be using to extract the maximum power level

wooohooo!!!!

Sounds awesome

Anyone who has the focus, dedication and persistence to take raw talent to world class competition in one sport - is also able to apply that same discipline and skill to another area of interest. Those that never thought Paolo could pull it off will be wrong - things always take longer than thought - but I know Paolo will end up with soemthing special.

Good luck buddy - looking forward to getting out that way and saying hi when I can

I checked out Paolo's TT a month or so ago, and left very impressed as well as anxious to see the final results! I didn't want to say much about it, but didn't want to give any details out that I shouldn't.

His IC setup and those HUGE Turbos really got me anxious to see not only the POWER it puts out, but also how cool the car will run with all the power.

I have a ton of pictures I will post soon!!

Ron, I am using the AEM to tune the car. After taking one of their tuning classes, I feel it is the only option to be able to properly manage the kind of power I hope to make and how I plan to drive the car.

One thing you are all forgetting is that I'm going to be arranging the rides whether PC is aware or not and for some reason I don't see any of you on the list after me??

Coincidence? LOLOLOL

Re: My visit to Paolo Castellano’s Shop to see the Twin Turbo Setup in Progress

Jay,
Seeing as I had the first 200mph ride in this car last time, it is only fitting that I get that chance again. LOL. I told PC at a party this weekend, that he should put a turnstyle in his garage and charge everyone to come see the car. Then he can offer rides for like $20/min (to cover fuel consumption, lol).

Hey PC,
How come I'm the only local guy that hasn't seen this thing yet? J/k. Keep up the good work.

Tom
