My last 99 gen2 was a heads and crazy cam car 620rwhp! It did 131 mph in the 1/4 mile. Anyone know if a 99 with just a paxton, headers, cat back without cats can match that? Im sure boost makes a difference so lets say with 10 psi. Always did heads and cam cars. Never a supercharger. Can forged Iinternals handle 10 psi safley?

It's likely you would want to run **** injection at that boost level (with a proper fuel system). Talk to Todd at A&C Performance -- he has a lot of experience with Paxton cars and NA cars with upwards of 650 RWHP.

Good luck with your build!

Yes to both questions. So many variables like fuel system, tuning platform, boost amount, and track conditions that will affect performance, but you'll be able to match the numbers you had with the H/C car.

Most people say an na car with less horsepower can beat paxton car with more horsepower in the 1/4 mile. If they have the same hp the heads and cam shouldalways win :) A very wise man told me that:) maybe the low end is that much better in na.. Built paxron motor is totally opposite of built na. Compression, cam . etc.. Plum did u ever 1/4 ur car? What mph if ya did? Johnny same question for u if u raced it.

Yea that's what I guess it comes down to. How much faster is the Paxton from a 60mph roll? Ill go to the strip often it's open wed and fri nights as well as sat and sun. My last na car was fast from a roll. It would walk 750 street bikes but never got to see it against a Paxton viper? How bad would it be do u think or know:)

My car went 9.8 @ 144 on pump gas. The car makes a fair amount more power now than it did on that pass. And I'm not the most aggressive driver, either.

I think that was only a 1.51 60'. I still run 100% stock suspension, stock half shafts, etc. No power shifting.

I think the car has a 9.6 in it with the new setup, still on pump gas.

Nice time !!!! Congrats. What's the rwhp on that thing? Incredible!

That night it was around 920 rwhp or so. That's what the dyno showed on a cool motor for that setup, but I'd made a pass or two and the air temps weren't as good. But somewhere in the 880-900 rwhp range is probably accurate.

The car now makes a little over 1000 rwhp and 987 tq. I need to get back to the track with the new setup and see how it does.

That's still amazing. I thought that could only be done with a TT kit. Shows what I know. Now I have to study up paxton vs roe

I've got a Roe on my Viper running 5lbs. of boost and 3.55 at the rear and this is what I know about them so far: super snappy, fun, and good looking at car shows. I get a lot of compliments. But it ain't gonna win any races against a built engine with a Paxton and I'm already jonesing for more power.

I dont have that car anymore. I turned 11.1 with a 1.996 60 foot time. It was 32 degrees out. Next time I ran I only got one run in, I had 1.6 60 foot time but missed 3rd. I was told that one 10th saved on the 60 foot time is two 10ths off your ET. If true that car was a mid 10 second car.
