My front tire on my '05 SRT 10 (michelins)picked up A NAIL, not sure if it has penetrated into the tire (maybe just a nail head with stub), seems like no air loss, not sure what to do. Can a run flat be repaired?
The tires can be repaired as long as the puncture is not near the sidewall. The speed rating for a repaired tire though is not retained. Use your best judgment with speed after the repair but you will probably be fine.
Just to note that I have repaired both rear tires and have 5000 miles on the repair with the kit above. This kit has rubber plugs that are shaped like a mushroom. The mushroom head is injected from outside of the tire into the inside of the tire with the gun included in the kit. There it expands and seals the hole.
