Molson Indy Vancouver also had a Viper for the Pace Car. The Nascar Viper looked Sapphire Blue, which would have made it a 2001. Good day for Snake Charmers!!

hmmmmmm....viper pace car in nascar....could a viper IROC car be in the future?? i don't believe that any of the manufactors have stepped up to the plate to offer a vehicle for this race series........

Dodge Viper pace car, Dodge wins the race. Way to go Ward Burton, he has had strong cars all season, but hasn't been able to finish many times, always was in some sort of minor accident, sometimes a major one. Not this time, to come from 37th place and win, that is a great feat. He certainly has the car set up for the longer tracks!

They had 2 01 GTS pace cars at the track yesterday!I'll post some pics as soon as I get them.All I can say is that is was a awesome event and to see a viper holding back 43 winston cup cars was a sight.

Frank, (Hemidaytona) you bring up a very interesting point. I wonder if Nascar would allow the Competition Coupe to be the IROC car. Wouldn't that be cool? I wonder if the Nascar guys would try to nix it because it isn't a rebodied Nascar stocker?
