just wanted to let you know that we are getting closer! i really appreciate all the emails and the assistance received from everyone and Paolo, concerning my supercharger setup.

the intake needed removed in order to get some of the work done we are doing, so i thought now would be a good time to powdercoat the intake and valve covers the same color as the car too!

the intake and valve covers were stripped, and given a light sanding. the runners on the top of the intake manifold were slightly polished as were the logos and lettering on the valve covers. i then taped off the runners, lettering and logos, and spent a couple hours with an exacto knife cutting everything out. everything was then powdered red. all the taped was removed, and then everything was cleared. isnt it gorgeous?

it all goes back together over the next day or so, then off to the dyno again. i will keep you posted!

thanks duane! the bad part though, is that the intake and VC's make the rest of the engine look bad now!

oh well, back to polishing and painting! ;)

did you get any bubbles on your VC's from the powder coat? Where did you get them coated?

i read about the bubble issue, and as far as i can tell, i have no bubbles.

J & J Powdercoating in Carlock IL did them for me. 309-376-4340. ask for Jim. they did an awesome job. they did all the powder on my racecar too. (pics in gallery).

it never ends .... :D

it sounds like all the parts are FINALLY in, so maybe we can get this beast together and running this week.

I was talking about the new powdercoated vs. stock shade of the VC's. I always wished Dodge had made the VC's a brighter red. yours look great :)

sorry. my bad. they are like night and day compared to my old intake and VC's. it appeared that someone had tried to clean mine with with the wrong cleaner which turned them all a funky pink color. so there is a HUGE difference now.

Nice #'s John. It's always the tuning that takes so long to get it right but I would be very happy. Will it be driveable to the next meeting? I really want to see it. I was backing my car into the garage yesterday after a "spirited" drive and my power steering hose blew out from a fitting. Car is still in the garage waiting for flat bed to come take it. If it is done, I will drive it to the next meeting.

we'll see duane. i hate to say it, but the motivation level of my installer has been very low during most of this install as my car has been there for 2 months now. :curse: thursday he went on vacation till tuesday to "think my fuel system over". by the time he got done thinking about it, got the parts ordered, waited till they arrived and got them installed with dyno time, it would have been another two weeks till completion. i said F-that and ordered the parts myself. the parts will be in on tuesday and the car WILL be leaving friday, done or not, before i go postal on this [******].

sorry for my rant, but on thursday i found a nice large chunk of paint missing from my drivers side side sill that i just had repainted, and i am very **********. jdoc took his viper to joe donovan in st louis and had his supercharged car back in less than 2 weeks, and here i sit waiting for someone to "think it over".

2 months, chipped paint, and having to order and pickup parts myself to keep this project moving. I AM NOT PLEASED.

ps - can someone look closely at my throttle cable in the last picture. my installer has fabricated "little white legs" to elevate the throttle cable bracket on top of the fuel rail. this concerns me. is this is going to be ok or not? how much room is between the hood and the fuel rail, anyone know?

i have a feeling that this wont work and was another waste of time and my hard earned dollars.

John, looks great!

Please remember to make sure the you use some long, brushes to clean out both plenums and each runner before you put that all back together!

Good luck and keep me posted!

John, I have a polished to chrome stainless throttle cable bracket that is part of my fuel rails. I will polish it right now and get it ready to send to you. Call me today with your address and I will get it out!
