[Figured that'd get your attention!]
Actually, I'm writing to thank Chuck, Gerald, and Antonio for checking out a silver/black 98 rt/10 for me down in Tampa, FL. I went down this weekend and got it ($55K, under 5K miles, both tops, still under original warranty) and got to meet Chuck and Gerald in person. We had quite a good time cruising around with the three vipers (Chuck is still unable to drive both of his at the same time...). I just drove back ~700 miles back to NC with it today, what fun! Some of the highlights of the weekend:
- met the guys at their 2nd home - *******
- met Mike (and his son Scott) with the blue/silver stripes 99 ACR and got to see where Mike totalled his previous viper
- got to see the Gandy bridge scene - cops drove everyone off though
- encountered numerous people that wanted to race one of us randomly on the streets of Tampa - Chuck smoked one (clearly Tampa needs to be renamed Streetracing, USA - see below also)
- not ten minutes into my highway drive to NC (i.e., still in Tampa) at 10am, an early 90s style Mustang Cobra pulls up next to me revving up (clearly has more than stock), so I happened to be 4th, decide not to even downshift, and we hit it - he was working hard, but I pulled anyway - found out he had a blower and he said he had 430hp
- random stuff along the ride back - a kid took a photo while I was passing by; the occupants of a Dodge Intrepid asked me what kind of car it was (?!), set my alarm off and gave Chuck a quick call to recall how to deal with that
- in the last 10 minutes of my highway drive (i.e., in NC), I come up on a porsche (black, convertible, don't think it was a boxster, but it was dark out and I don't know that Euro crap too well), and of course he wants to run (I've been driving over 10 hours straight, oh well), so we do some mild passing and finally get an open stretch where I slide up beside him in 3rd and smoke him pretty bad
All in all, a great time, though I don't plan on so much random street racing in the future?! And now, for the updated signature:
