When I bought my 96 RT, it didn't have the little plastic trim piece that runs along the front size of the "styling bar" behind the seats. I believe this trim piece is also what the softtop plugs in to.

I bought a replacement trim piece, but the problem is that I don't know how to properly attach it, and the owner's manual doesn't give a very detailed description. There are several bolt slots on the body of the car where the trim piece connects, and four bolt holes and four bracket holes on the replacement trim piece itself.

Would anyone be so kind as to explain (a) how this trim piece is attached, and (b) which bolts / brackets / duct tape / crazy glue to order from my Dodge dealer in order to appropriately attach it?

Thanks so much!

Your local dealership should be able to pull up the schematics and ID those bolts, etc. for you at the parts dept...

I believe your talking about the sport bar, goes to the front side of the "roll bar". It is attached by bolts, and you must take it off to put on the hard top. Soft top should snap over an extra set of bolts under the holes in the sports bar. Hope this helps,

Mike

Right, that's what I'm talking about, but the local dealer doesn't really know what to order. I've looked at the schematics with the parts guy behind the counter, and they aren't very clear. The sport bar trim piece is not drawn anywhere near where it connects, so it's not possible to see how it connects, or with which bolts.
