I stumbled across this oil pan and baffle I had stored in the garage. Picked it up a few years back but I never determined which generation it's for. I can't find the part number in the parts listing we have in the illustrated upgrades forum. Certainly does not look like my GenII oil pan. Any ideas? :dunno:

Absolutely. But it's Monday so I'll call Jon tomorrow. :) As for Chuck, I bother him way too much so I wanted to try here first before calling him this week.

Not to question but it sure looks like a Gen 2 pan. The oil pickup is cast into the pan.Where on a Gen 1 it used a pickup tube. And the gen 1 pan was the same depth front to rear where this pan has a lower sump in it. Still not sure if it is the 96-00 or the deeper 01-02 pan.

Tom is correct, kinda......................:D

That pan came on all Gen II cars from 1996-1999. If I am not mistaken, they went to the 10 quart pan in 2000.

Don't you just hate it when two techs have to be corrected by a boy from ALABAMA...................................:lmao: :lmao:

If I say; "Tom taught me everything I know", will you let me run around the track with the top down, shorts and a t-shirt like I originally wanted to? :D:D

Actually, I found the screw in my existing oil pan. I picked up this older pan on some bay for almost nothing. I was going to use it as a paper weight at the office. :D Not sure what to do with it. Maybe I can sell it to the VPA. :rolaugh: (just joking)

Thanks for the help everyone. I love this club. :2tu:
