Lookig at there fan kit for my 02 GTS anyone else running this?? Just wondering if with the fans on a little earlier and when car shuts off for a bit much of a noticeable difference?? Pretty simple too hook up? I have the sct tuner for my car guess there is no way to make them come on earlier with it!!

Unless you are running hot the fan kit should not be necessary. I never needed one and may old 99 GTS had a highly modded NA motor.

One of my track buddies has that in his 96 GTS.

Temp sensor keeps the fan on after engine shutdown.

We had a hot day last weekend at the track. The cooling fan managed to **** the battery down to almost nothing, and we had to push start his car at the end of the day.
-Probably had a weak battery in the first place.

Put one on the 'new and improved' version on my '01 about 3 years ago, no issues. Just get the adjustment *** dialed in where you want it and forget about it. Some criticize it as being the 'Roe battery drain kit' but that has not been my experience (perhaps that's why it was improved?). The black box in the kit is what keeps the fan running after shutdown.

The primary benefit to the Roe fan kit, in my opinion, is the fact that it will continue to cycle the radiator fan on and off even after you've shut the car off, until it brings the coolant temps down to an acceptable level. I love mine. It makes a HUGE difference at the track. Instead of having to put a fan on the front of the car between runs, the radiator fan cycles on and off to bring engine temps down for me. I can just walk away and let the module do all the work. A cooler motor means more HP down the strip.

Unless you are driving around on a 100 degree day where it may have to cycle on and off for over an hour AND have a weak battery, you won't have any problems. Never had a problem with mine. One of my favorite purchases.

I said screw it and ordered one anyways!! just to have fans come on a little earlier in the srt8 made a huge difference so see what it does in this, and to have them come on after motor is shut down for a bit is a great idea too. dosent look to hard to hook up is it?

Not hard at all. It's just a little wiring, some velcro (to attach it behind the headlight), and a probe to put in the radiator. I think we did mine in about 15 minutes, including using nice heat shrink, wire loom, adjusting it, etc.

I tried one -- briefly... Before it died. Then, when I switched to an SCT, was able to make all the fan adjustments directly to the ECU.

You already have an SCT, use that.

I track my car 99% and I have the improved fan kit from Sean Roe. ( I actually also have the SCT tune ) ..regardless, you set it with a water boiler ( kettle) and a temp measuring probe to 90 degrees celsius. After you set it stick the probe in the radiator for temp sensoring and it will turn on after you shut off the engine. It works like a charm and will not drain your battery if it is in a good condition. Actually no clue if it actually starts the fans when you drive but most probably ..The SCT will not switch on the fans after shut down....but depending on setting will turn on the fans so your car runs cooler while driving...it's a no brainer...
