hey guys, I've been away from the VCA for a while, I had alot of things going on, on top of battling some severe depression.

I JUST took delivery of an 04 SRT (what a diffrence from my gen 2) and just have 2 questions.

1. I have a violent swaying when changing lanes, or hitting bumps, that gets more agressive at higher speeds, any idea what that can be? sway bar mounts maybe?

2. my heat/ac fan only works on HIGH, when the fan is set to low or med, its completly off, blower motor resistor?

im going to be making an appointment at Tators pretty soon to do a short throw and skip shift killer, so I figure whatever these 2 issues are I'll have him take care of them while im there.

Thank you for any help

and its great to be back, I missed all you guys, this fourm and this club have helped me through alot of hard times (even if no one actually knew it at the time)

Definitely sounds like the resistor as far your heat/ac. You'll want to replace both the motor and the resistor though. If one caused the other to go bad, you'll just blow it again and have wasted your money.
I just replaced them on my '03 and Viper Parts of America hooked me up with great prices.

A small tweak of the alignment may help you out with the steering. I had an issue with mine especially on deeply grooved roads and the alignment guy tweaked the toe on the front wheels and it's wonderful now. He said the caster and camber were correct for the street. Old guy with racing experience, fun to talk to him.

No way to hook it up wrong. It only plugs in one way. Both the blower and the resistor are just few minutes work to change. I ended up putting the top down and basically "sitting" in my passenger seat upside down with my feet out the roof. I think there were 3 bolts/screws holding the motor and two screws on the resistor. You can try just the resistor, but I'd hate to see you pop it again if it's the motor (or vise versa). It cost me around a couple hundred buck for both if I remember correctly.

Welcome back!!

Agree with above on checking status of suspension/alignment at Tator's !!

If the tires are original, ditch them after the trip to Tator's Garage. Even new, the runflats were worse than most folks anticipated, especially when the temps were below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

In my opinion, the Gen III Viper and OEM runflat tire combo made for a more challenging handling situation than any other year of Viper/OEM tire combo produced to date (Gen I-IV).

Once sorted, you're gonna love that Snake!!!

It's probably the resistor. Take it out and most likely it became unsoldered. Mine was when I took delivery of my 06 and a simple solder job saved me 140 bucks. Good luck, it's a common problem.

Thanks for all the welcomes back (is welcomes a word? lol)

im going to be making an appointment at Tators as soon as I get all the parts I want to install (Shifter, sway bar mounts, skip shift ect)

im just hoping this swaying issue is not too costly im kind of spent after buying the new snake.
