What I need some help with is just knowing if there is anything in perticular I should be looking for? Known defects or anything of that nature???

Hi, Matt. You are asking for something that takes a LOT of dialogue...AND, you have NO E-MAIL listed.
I gave up writing as a hobby long ago so I prefer "talk" over "type".

As we happen to have both of those years, I can say that I personally enjoy both the 1995 RT/10 and the 1996 RT/10 as specific cars that are "different" from each other...hence the need to dialogue.

By the way, the 1996 is listed at the Dodge self-serve site as an "incomplete" on Recall 998.

P.S....STOCK Gen I Vipers had NO airbags...period.

Feel free to contact me if you wish.

My best advice without writing a book would be to buy this one.

There are a few things to check out that this book goes into detail about. Also, let us know where you are and I'm sure a few local guys can help you out.

I looked at that 96 last weekend. I've still got the lady's card in my wallet. She was very nice. Their little dealership is in three parts and the Viper is in a showroom up the hill from the other two. The woman I spoke to has an office in that building and as far as I know she is the only one up at that location all the time. If you wanna talk to someone who has seen it you can shoot me an e-mail!! [email protected]

I bought my 95 two years ago from a private party with 17k on it for $40,000.00 and I was still able to get an extended warrenty on it. It has 63k on it now with no problems.

The -95 motor seems HORRIBLY FLITHY, a sign for a car thats not well taken care of... And why would you take 3 pictures of a CAR COVER? Is he selling the cover or the car for 40K?

Check if the head gaskets were replaced.
Run Carfax, not bullet proof, but better than nothing
Run dealer check, this will show all dealer made repairs

In my opinion the -96 seems to be more desirable.

Try Cars.com.
Try VCA Classifieds
Try Viper- Alley Classifieds
Try E-bay
Type Viper 1995 for sale into Google.

I had to determine the value of my 1993 2 months ago and I was suprised how many cars I found for sale. I was looking for 1993 or 1994 only. Over 30 pieces!!!

Do NOT limit the purchase locally, be willing to travel over 1000 miles to get the best car. There are PLENTY of member here who are willing to check cars for you.
Let me know if you need any help in South PA area.
