Need some opinions...

I had this idea that since there are a lot of people that have upgraded to an 08 hood and Dodge did a lot of work on their airbox that mated up to the new hoods, and the fact that the 03 to 06 airboxes do not match up to the 08 hoods and **** in hot air from under hood, it only made sense to breed an 08 airbox with an 03 to 06 intake.

After a few tries a new airbox was born,

It has all the functionality of and plusses of both the old and the new and mates up to the 08 factory hoods perfectly

Here is the result



Question is, is this worth making? Is there a market for a performance intake/airbox for Gen 3 vipers with Gen 4 hoods?

Steve I like the box idea but, as a big seller I doubt if it will fly off the shelf.

I wondered about this very same thing. Interesting to see a different air box. I think it's a great idea. For those with a GEN III it might not be a bad idea to invest.

I think price point will be the most important thing. How much were you thinking of retailing it for?

That would look great on my SSG. Vert. Could even paint the hood but leave a "Fang" stripe pattern on it. That would look sweet.

Just so you know, Vipair is now making factory repro, perfect fit hoods, in Fiberglass, Carbon top Fiberglass bottom, Carbon both sides and Carbon Fiber Pin on Race hoods (saves 40+ lbs once you remove the hinges and latch!!!)

All Fiberglass Hoods come in Black satin primer now

All Carbon Hoods fit perfect and come with Aluminum screens and they are tough strong hoods
