Need to look at hood of Gen II near S. Carson City, NV

I'm trying to fit the air intake "strainers" on a carbon fiber hood and they simply won't fit.

They appear to need a fairly curved surface to mate properly while the CF hood recesses appear to be basically flat.

Is there a difference between Gen I and II strainers? maybe I have the wrong ones?

Also, the big thru hold in the hood on the RHS for the climatizer intake, is there a "spacer duct" between the inner hood panel and the outer skin?

If I could just look at a GTS in a car lot, that would do the trick.
