Like Dyno Day, the Autocross event (April 28[SUP]th[/SUP]) also requires preplanning. If you can make this date, I suggest signing up right away. For those that have never done an autocross before, trust me it is safe, and a blast. I have yet to see a member not return a second time.

Here is a link to sign up for the Auto-X. The cost is $55.00 per driver. One car could be used for two drivers. The course is almost 2 miles long. Each driver usually gets 8 runs. 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Paul Lussier, a Viper owner and instructor will be there to help anyone who would like him to ride along and get some great pointers!

Track Club USA autocross is held at Fort Devens in Ayer, MA - April 28. The first event sold out so don't get shut out - register today!

AND!! If when your done and feel like a coffee, call me, I'm on duty that day from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Or look for the 2012 unmarked steel gray cruiser. Don't feel like stopping? Wave as you pass through Harvard. :cop:

I will be there but not autocrossing. I want to watch to check it out. I will also have an extra helmet if its required.

Trust me when I say you will regret not signing up. Everyone that has tried it has become addicted to autocross, including myself. I recall my own apprehensions the first time.

You really can't hurt the car, and it is an absolute blast. If I lived closer I'd be going once an month.

I have lowered the car on a 19/20 setup. Not ideal to autocross on 19/20. Also I can't just throw my 18's back on, the car won't get out of the neighborhood with them.

Anyone else signing up? Remember you don't have to sign up in order to join us. Join King Snake & SSGSNAKE, and just check it out. I suggest you bring a helmet if you have one, you may want to ride along with someone.

Or you can use my helmet. I definitely would like a ride along with someone who knows what their doing in a capable car (reds are excluded from this).

Don't know if I'll be able to take a car out. (waiting for the town to grade the dirt road). They said they will do it by May 1st, but might not have it done for next saturday, the 28th. If they do grade it, I may show up. Probably way to late to participate. They don't usually allow drive ups to enter. If not, maybe we can do another later in the season!

Tim, time to put that trailer to use, even if it's just a short ride down your road. It won't be the same without you, but of course we do have another autocross planned for the fall.

Damn, that was a blast. When are we doing that again??? Oh yea, this fall!
Can't wait.

Good thing I don't live closer to Ayer, or I'd be at the track every other weekend.

It was a little cold in the morning but warmed up pretty decent. ***** I was banned from the event for having a car that was too fast and **** to allow on the track so I took videos and photos. Here are the photos, videos later.

By the way the 110 was not your time rick, it was the Porsche that caught up to you.

It was a GREAT time, other than this massive sunburn that will be hanging around for at least a few days. I need to make up an AutoX bag for the car, cause I know I will be doing more of these! I got some videos while I was out working the course, hope you enjoy. It was nice to see everyone there, a great way to kickoff the season!
