I took these pics yesterday. What beautiful machines!!! The Vipers wheels look so much bigger. That lift was a great investment.

You will love having a lift in the garage. I don't know what I did before it.

You put the Porsche on the bottom....???

You should've put the SRT on the bottom so it would be more readily drivable.

YES, the door will open with the car on top. I had the door channel installed with a 32 Degree radius track and it "Hugs" the ceiling.

Alright, I have to ask the height of the garage. I am starting plans on the next house with probably a four car garage so if I put on of those lifts in, how high should the garage ceiling be?

I put on a 5 car garage and I made sure at the HIGHEST point in my garage the ceiling to floor height is 13 feet. I say the highest because the garage floor goes on a slant (for drainage), so make sure the highest point is at least 13 feet. Some spots my measurement was 13 feet 3 inches. It works like a charm.

When you do the garage doors make sure they install the doors so they will HUG the ceiling. Also make sure the garage door opener is installed so it too hugs the ceiling.

My lift is a Backyard Buddy. You can also call them or goto the web site and get info from there too.

Good Luck.

You don't need no stinkin' lift! Roll the vehicle over on its side and gain access to the bottom...I do it at least a couple of times each week (yeah I drain the fluids first...don't call EPA).

Oh, yeah....that's on old 4x4 trucks I part out...but, you know...

I have a lift in my service bay at my shop. None at home (yet). Lifts are indeed sweet tools.

Rob - what brand lift do you have, and how much $?

Thanks, George

George,

I did A LOT of research before I went and bought a lift. The brand is Backyard Buddy and they seemed to be the best out there. I bought it about a year ago and it was $3500.00 with a five year warranty and a rolling jack stand mount. This is so you can put a floor jack in the middle and jack one side of the car and remove the wheels. I liked this because you can lower the car down to a height that you don't need to get on the ground you can work right at eye level.

Good Luck,
ROB
