In conversation with a friend, I was told that Boundurant School of driving was going to start a new driving program with Vipers. Called to check on that today and was told yes, that they had just taken shipment of the cars for said class. Apparently, the plan for now is to have
3 day and 4 day programs. Its all still in the works but was asked to call back in January or finalized details. So for right now the plan is
To begin with challengers move up to the Viper TA and then finish with the ACR. I was told after completing this program I would fully
know my car inside and out, plus defensive driving in my car. I absolutely can't wait to get my foot in the door. Also, lots of track time and instruction. :headbang:
BTW nothing is on Web site yet but it's coming

Yeah, I saw that article somewhere as well. They were converting over to a Dodge fleet. Sounds like it would be a hoot to work up to the ACR.

I had heard srt driving experience was going away. Now does that mean it is because boundurant is picking up the experience with the
purchase of a new car.

Frankly many of us suggested this years ago, as shipping cars all over the Country, renting tracks at each spot, flying in Instructors, etc. made little sense to having a permanent place with all the FCA performance products based there. Now new buyers can get a great experience, maybe stay an extra day or two and do the Bondurant School, plus FCA does not have to ship vehicles from one end of the US to another. The other situation is this will also help increase participation, as it is likely more dates will open up , so win/win for all.

I always thought the SRT Driving Experience was a bore. This sounds alot better.

Yes, I too have been in contact with April at Bondurant School. We are working on a feature article for an upcoming Viper Magazine issue. Please look for that in early 2016.

So would I be correct in thinking that this will replace their regular school as well, or is this just a relocation of the SRT driving experience and a specific program they are offereing? I'm seriously considering attending their full race school, but am happy to wait it out a bit if it means I get to play around in the Dodges I like and know compared to their current equipment. I'm sure the Vettes are fun and fast, but the chance to get behind the wheel of an ACR is hard to pass up.

From what I was told, the chevy program will completely go away. Srt track experience will be at Boundurant, with no track rotation. There will be Dodges Galore.
The Challenger srt8, TA Viper and ACR. :drive:

If you go to Dodge's YouTube page, you will see a white / black ACR in Bondurant livery.

Looks like they already have one ACR on hand :2tu:

I also called Bob Bondurant regarding the switch to SRT vehicles and was told the switch would be done around Feb 15th. They were waiting for the fleet of SRT's to be delivered. I did not know that the SRT driving experience would also be done there in Phoenix. I'm most happy to hear that as I just ordered a new ACR.
I agree that the past SRT driving experiences that I did at Daytona were really not that impressive. They also did not allow anyone to drive Vipers. I've been holding out for a school that would give me experience in a Viper like I have--not some other car that is not related to a Viper. I want to experience training in a Viper to really know how to safely drive the car--I want to experience a skid pan in a Viper as well as other handling issues. Thanks for the Info regarding the SRT driving experience--Dave
