New exhaust melting rear bumper

I just finished putting a new B&B exhaust system on with hi flow cats. After one quick trip, the bumper above the tips is bubbling and the paint is flaking off. I have about a 1/4" + clearance above it. Should it be shimmed down or is there something to put between it? Any help?

??? Mine fit perfect with no adjustment or melting.

Something else must be wrong, I have had the B&B on mine for about 1200 miles now, and have not had any issues with it melting, The only problem I have is they tips are turning kind of gold.

Sounds like you might be running a little lean there? Your EGT must be way too hot.

I am blowing flames out my rear tail pipe once in a while and have never had any issues besides some gas stains on the bumper that Dawn dish soap takes right off.

Never had any problems with my Corsa..no stains,gold tones,etc. Just Awesome sound and looks.

Yes, I drive it......and pose too. I'm actually one of those clean freaks that cleans the car up after every drive.

But seriously, I do drive the car pretty hard.

I agree with ab I would check your a/f ratio etc before I would suspect the exhaust system.
Btw I love that color!

Can you post a picture?
The installed dimensions of the Borla, Corsa and B&B tips are all pretty close to the same.
