Welcome and I hope you enjoy your new ride. Post pics when you get it home. I would recommend doing a search on exhaust. You should find a lot of information on the subject.

FE - I'll let you know how it turns out on my 2002 RT-10. I just received all the parts for a Corsa 3" cat-back with hi-flow cats. It took a lot of searches and a lot of discussion to actually make a decision. It's a tough one........

Search and you'll find a few sound files and a TON of ideas and advice.

From my long hours of research I boiled it down to the following for myself:

The only thing that really scared me was making sure it was legal, and didn't throw any codes so I could pass emissions. I wanted to do the work myself (needed to be bolt on). Other than that, it seems to be sound preference (loud, louder, and loudest) and the look of the tips.......

And of course - cost......... ;)

I paid attention to the discussions on the sound - not only outside the car, but inside as well (resonance) - since I plan on driving mine a lot on the street and unlike many other Viper purists - I like to hear the radio..... :D

All the best on your choice.....

Balenger - LOUDEST!

If you want a deep rumble, go with balenger. Just do the cat back and it'll be a bolt up application with no cutting needed. The sound is a little deeper than most other catbacks and you get more cabin noise, and that is what I wanted.

Make sure they include a 2.5" to 3" reducer in the package or have a local shop get you one. I think JonB at the partsrack.com has them in stock at a fair price. He can walk you through the install if you plan on doing it yourself, or call me and I'll tell you how I did it.

If you want to hear what it sounds like on a FE and you're in the NW area, lets get together.

Welcome and congratulations!

What's your FE# ? Be sure to register on feviper.com. There's a lot of pics and videos too. Don't forget to follow proper "break-in" procedures for the first 1K miles. The first oil change at around 250 miles is important too.

In the meantime, enjoy your new ride! You'll get attention everywhere you go.

Warren.

Congrats FE #84 -- Any chance you bought it from Koller Dodge in Naperville? We'd be happy to add your personal information to the Final Edition Registry -- please check FEViper.com for the 2002 sales brochure, articles announcing the Final Editions, Final Edition collectables, and videos from the factory.

Welcome to the family and enjoy!
