Hello everyone! I've posted all around with questions about my purchase and I truly appreciate everyone's answers and help. I finally settled on buying my friend's 2003. He had a 92 RT/10 and this 2003 which he decided to sell. It was kept in a climate controlled room and only driven to local car shows here in Washington using trip permits. It wasn't even titled. It only has 1,400 miles on it and is perfect condition. I'm very happy with it.

So, since the VCA was a LARGE part of the reason I wanted a Viper I will be calling to join this week. I look forward to seeing other Washington Staters AND attending VOI 10. Thanks to everyone for making this a great forum AND for adding to the Viper experience.

One more question.. :) Since it has been driven so very little do you recommend any specific maintenance? I WILL be buying tires very soon. Oil and fluids have been changed on a regular basis and prior to winter hibernations.

If all fluids oil, antifreeze, brake, clutch, transmission, differential, power steering have been changed recently you are good to go but if not I would make sure and get them soon.I know the original run flats are poor traction tires and many have had problems even when new, your tires are eight years old and while they look new they are really just black cement at this point and it will be hard to keep traction let alone control the car.Tires are a must do not let the tread fool you your tires were bad when new and are downright lethal now.
JonB at parts rack can fix you up.It ***** spending that money right after purchase but its the best money you can spend to keep you and the car alive in the get to know you process plus it will make you much more confident in the car and yourself.
If you know all this sorry I whacked a dead horse.
Beautiful car but then again there is no such thing as an ugly Viper

I left it out but I changed my serpentine belt right away also just for peace of mind.
I am wierd and usually change the oil every 1k and in the beginning of storage and before I take it out in the spring.Probably excessive but clean oil never hurt a car.Make sure all the fluids have been changed recently

I would check the wheel alignment on it. With only 1400 miles on it and it being a 2003, it could of been sitting for a while and would be natural to Sag after a certain amount of time. Just for a peace of mind check and see if it needs a wheel alignment. Mine did as mine was sitting and only had 2400 miles on it, it had been sitting for about 2 or so years before being driven again.

If you have not already done so...check for RECALLS and be sure (through use of a Dodge Dealer's computer inquiry) that they were indeed performed.

CONGRATS !!!

Yep. I did check on that and all recalls have been performed.

Looks like I'll take it in for a checkup pretty soon. New tires and an alignment sound like a good idea. I'll be calling JonB pretty soon.

Theamigo- is your friend that had the car a Viper Club member in Washington Region?
When you speak to JonB also get the front license plate brackets just for insurance.

I have an unused front bracket. I've noticed a LOT of sports cars here that have chosen to not put on the front plate... Ahem.

Yes he's a member of the VCA and is planning on attending VOI10 with me. He lived in Stanwood but has since moved to Hawaii.

What did you pay for the car? It is always interesting to keep track of the market. Thanks.

Thanks. I like your Autoform top! Like it?

I need to get one of those in the near future so that I can easily participate in track days or whatever else. The NW Alfa club was at Bremerton Raceway a few weeks ago and I met up with an RT/10 owner I'd met at a carshow last year. I'm going to join that club as well. Anyway, seeing the fun they were having makes me want to jump in asap.
