New Purner\'s

One of my Forgelines developed a slow leaking crack so I upgraded to Purner's 904-437-7822. 18 fronts, 17 backs. And yep, those are Stoptechs from JonB. I'll be at Sebring tomorrow and let you know what I think. Here are the pics. Which ones do you like more???

Re: New Purner\'s

I picked up a set of used 17" Purner wheels for my car (formerly abused by the famous Bill Pemberton).

A lot of folks are upgrading to 18" Rims, so John Purner regularly gets wheels like Bills in trade. John completely disassembles the wheels, inspects them for damage, polishes the rims and centers, and then reassembles. I had my tires shipped to Purner for mounting as well.

I'll see my wheels for the first time in two weeks when I visit my car (and about 200 Cobras) at Classics by Elite's "Spring Fling". Ed told me the wheels are so light, that when the "tires" arrived, his fellows did not even realize they had wheels mounted..... they were so light, the guys thought they were just tires!

And Jay, they were formerly abused by Augi Flak ( Augs ) , before me, except to be honest it is hard to abuse John's wheels. They were in very good shape when I traded them in and they served me well at last years Viper Days Finals!
