Yes, much better in person. It felt like a Viper without a doubt. It stood up to all the hype up close. Much curvier and meaner in person. Perfect lighting conditions that the pro photographers use sort of wash out and distort some of the various curves and lines on this car. It's possible that those who saw it under the NY Auto Show lights also didn't get the full effect. When this thing was out in the sun, it was breathtaking. I noticed curves and lines I never saw in any of the mags or online pics. In the pics I always thought the rear end was the best angle, but in person, the frontal views were spectacular in the sun.

This pic sort of captures the fact that the headlights and fascia are meaner than some of the other pics we have seen. The shadows highlight the curves more. It's a subtle angle not captured by the mags and shows a more ********** look.

P.S. I feel special because I had a hand in preventing serious damage to the car. A huge gust of wind began to knock the tent over onto the car! I happened to be standing right there and caught it just in time, saving the paint from certain disaster. After that, there was always someone posted at the tent to keep it secured. When you see it at the VOI, remember that you chatted with the guy who saved the first prototype GEN-V.

After seeing it at the NY Gala and a local show a few weeks ago, I can attest to it looking better out on its own in the sun. NEARLY everyone I eavesdropped on at the local show was really impressed with the car in person compared to the pics they had seen on the Internet/magazines. Everything just seems to flow so well when you can stand back and take the whole car in, from a normal standing position, and not a crazy camera angle on a stage or from down low.

70 Vipers in attendance

Silver is the color stylists use to accent the lines of a styling presentation. Almost all styling bucks are shown in silver. The GTS-R is in silver but a haven't seen a GTS in silver yet. Waiting for that one.

Yep I must agree that black is the best color on the Gen 5 so far. Unless we are counting the PS austin did of the GTS-R in SSG!!!
