Unfortunatley my good friend Steve isn't very good at operating the camera yet and he couldn't get the crotch rocket in the video so it only just shows me accelerating. It looks like I'm not racing anyone. The outcome? uhhh,

Now that I've got the video camera, you guys are in for a nice treat... Time to go hunt for some motorcycles today! And time to find some sort of camera mount..

Gerald, post those Videos! I would love to see them, see if you can catch their faces afterwards also!

Check out the camera mount at this site, http://www.viperinnovations.com I believe the guy who makes them is named Ted. I got one for $50-, he had a special price a while back, but still let me have it a couple weeks ago. Can't tell you much about it though, as it is back in Indiana, and I won't be back there for another month. But the site has pictures, instructions etc.

Good Luck!

I got the Sony Handy Cam DCR-TRV22. Touch screen controls. Love it. Best Toy I've bought in a while. Thanks for the camera mount like. I'll order right away....

I've got a question though if anyone can answer it. Do I need to get a wide angle lens? If I zoom all the way out, will that be enough to catch the view of cars/motorcycles that are on my side? Or will a wide angle lens help?

I can vouch for Ted R. at Viper Innovations. He is a nice guy and comes to all our VCA meetings. Give him a try!!

I just bought the Sony TRV-22 digital camcorder on Saturday. Pretty sweet camera. Was going for the Canon which has a 22X zoom to the Sony's 10X, but I read many negative reviews about its poor normal to low light picture taking ability. So I went with the Sony. Looking for a camera mount myself, but want it to look decent too. Maybe I'll design my own. Then again, when I get my supercharger I'll need a roolbar and it will be a lot easier to attach to something like that.

Haahaa, that's why I responded to this post. I didn't read this until after I bought the camera, but great Viper owners think alike I guess. That particular Sony model seemed to fit all my needs and Sony seems to have a good rep so I went with it. You thinking of getting a camera mount too? I found something during a internet search that I may try out. Clamperpod Figured I'd try to clamp it on the the seat belt guide near the top of the seat. I see 2 people on this board make camera mounts for the Viper, but one looks like you have to take a bunch of crap off to mount it and the other one just plain looks hokie. I want something I can take off quickly when not in use. This clamper pod is only $13.95 plus I figure I'd buy the mini-ball head for $10.95 to allow me to swivel the camera in any direction.

Did a lot of searching for in-car camera mounts on the net last night and it looks like when I get a roll-bar the IO Port Racing Camera Mount may be the way to go.
