Not only are you hearing lifter noise which does not go away but also the injectors are quite noisy. I forgot how noisy as my 96GTS is pretty loud now with all the modifications and when I got the 2001 recently you can really here the mechanical noises. Best idea is a cat back exhaust and you won't hear them as much.
