New Viper Owner - 2014 GTS

[2014GTS]

New member of the Viper family. This is my first Viper after several 911 variants. Got sick of waiting for a GT3 RS allocation (even had one ordered and taken away) and dealer games associated with asking prices, lists, etc. I love to track my cars and can't wait to get this out there.

It had 1300 miles when I picked it up in Atlanta on 12/23/15. I was going to ship it home but was too excited to wait. Flew down in the AM and was on the road by noon. It handled great on the drive to Michigan with all sorts of weather along the way. No snow though. I thought the drive was pretty comfortable, but I'm sure the Michigan roads will change that come spring. This will be more of a weekend/track car for me as I already have an Audi RS7 for a daily driver.

It has the Laguna interior along with carbon fiber, Sidewinder wheels and Corsa tires for options. I enjoy modding my cars, so aero and exhaust are some things I'm considering. Can't wait for spring.

I have the same car but race yellow with black stripes and all of the exterior carbon fiber. The Carbon Fiber really dresses the car up and you will also get functional downforce with the rear deck spoiler and the front corner canards. I also added some great CF bits from wayne at XtremeSupercars--door sill guards and fuel rail covers.

Other mods you might consider are Corsa Exhaust, Arrow PCM, TA Front and Rear Swaybars and subtle mud flaps. I added those as well as lots of clear bra, MGW Shifter knob and Castrol SRF Brake and Clutch Fluid.

My guess is that the quality, performance and street presence of the Viper will surprise you.

Not familiar with that car but it was about 5 minutes from my house so I was often a road hazard through that Intersecton trying to look at it.
