I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for opinions about buying a FE Viper that had extremely low (i.e., > 700) miles on it. After some good advice and a lot of thought, I decided that I simply couldn't pass up the chance to own a car I used to dream about as a kid. As a result, FE #003 of 360 now sits in my garage.

I had only ever driven one Viper before buying this one, so the experience was still pretty new to me. First impressions are that I've never driven or been a passenger in any car that was so loud, rough, raw and ridiculously impractical. In short, I can't imagine there's any other car I could love this much.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi (for the first time as an owner) and thanks to everyone who offered advice in connection with my first post. I'm normally pretty quiet on these boards (I owned a Boxster for three years and only posted about half a dozen times to the Boxster Board), but I'm about as active of a lurker as you'll find.

One last thing. While I've read the FAQ, I don't understand how to get my profile to go from "Enthusiast" to "Viper Owner". I finally have the car; can someone tell me how to get the title?

I don't know how to have it changed, but welcome to the family. I remember the first time I drove my Viper...heaven!

BTW, the best advice that Viper owners have given me when I got my Viper and it was the best advice ever is....

"Make sure you are going straight when you stomp on the gas."

Enjoy!

You will need to give your VIN number to one of the admins. Big-n-Italian handles the avatars. They are the only ones who can make that change.
