Newbie here. first post, about exhaust part #'s

First,
Hello to all.
Newbie Viper owner. Not new to hot rods though.
Traded my Twin Turbo 03 Cobra for a 97 GTS.
Currently have in my collection:
2005 Supercharged Roush
1993 RX7 [with LS1 conversion]
2002 Supercharged Harley F150
1997 Saleen
1993 Mustang Cobra
2007 SS Trailblazer
1967 Bronco Roadster

The GTS has a Borla side exit exhaust system, headers and No Cats. The "drone" is killing me. I actually do not want to even drive the car it is so Freakin Loud.

Using the search button, I think the Borla system #140049 for $979 + 50 ship then the Corsa system for ~$1500 are the quiet ones.

Question is, you get what you pay for, so why is the Borla kit ~$500 cheaper ?
Am I missing something here ?
Is there a kit number where I can pick up from the existing Borla mufflers and add the rear resonator and dual pipes?
What do I do with my rocker panels that are for the side exhaust? Do people commonly trade with each other ?

I'd use the Corsa and go out the back. Won't you have to change the sills from side exhauat also. I had Borla on my GTS and Corsa on my RT. The RT was to quiet and the open trunk in GTS the Borla was too loud so I swapped from car to car. Much better!!!! on both. I ordered both systems from Jon @ partsrack. Was a good price and service.

I don't know a lot about the different systems, but guys please keep in mind that Side exhaust puts a different spin on things from your typical GTS exhaust responses...coming from a Gen 1 guy.

Welcome to the site. Also check out Randomtech exhausts they are the middle of the borla and corsa. Has a nice rumble with no drone but not as european sounding as the corsa. Do a search o the site many here have them. I just got it installed a few months ago. Very happy.

Oddly - I'm looking for a 93 RX-7 with an LS1 conversion. Selling yours by any chance?

I read for over a hour on the different systems.
RAYSIR, your thoughts hit right me right on the nose.
I want the exhaust quiet. So If I understood correctly go with the Corsa on my GTS.
*****, but I will have to repair, replace, or better yet trade someone with side exit to get rid of the holes.
Therefore if anyone has solid sills and wants to go with side exit sills, I have red ones to trade out.
Better yet, If someone has red[or any color] side sills to trade, I will give you my Borla side exit exhaust "AND" sills as a matching set for your solid sills. this should be a pretty fair deal.?

My RX7 R-1 is not far from being finished. Engine/tranny [Z06 cam and valve train] installed and wired up. All the conversion parts came from Hinson supercars. I am currently building the fuel system. I fill up my fuel injector canister with fuel to run and work on it for now. I had a Large port,3mm seal, single turbo, FMIC, Haltech, fuel system, etc. that I just removed.
I have had the car for 8 years, and I am loosing interest on it.
Are you mechanically inclined to finish the car ?
Check this BEAUTY out, Yes the car looks better in person. Yes it is beautiful, You think your Viper gets attention, you should see what kind of croud this car brings in at car shows.
I would need 30K. You would get the car and EVERY part I have to finish the car [Yes shipped to you up to the nearest US border town] plus extra parts too boot. Very little money is needed to finish the car. I have purchased, or fabbed all the parts to do it.

SO CORSA IT IS, for being overall quiet, correct ?
The GTS has headers and NO cats.
