I am making final Preparations for the Hot Rod Magazine Fastest street car Drags. 50 cars were invited including myself and two other Viper Brothers Tom Welch with BTR performance and Paolo.

My personal Goal is the Top 10. all cars will be drained of current fuel and they will fill the car with 15 gallons of fuel we take a 30 mile cruise through Memphis and back to the track and line them up.

I hope that between the 3 of us we will represent the Viper World with a great showing.

It will be great if all 3 Vipers make the top 10 and maybe one of us win!!!

Look out Hot Rod Magazine / TV here come the VIpers!!! :headbang:

I just got off the fone with the Man.

Paolo had to withdraw due to not being finished yet. Good Luck to our other Viper Brothers.

I'll be there. I live in Memphis, so I can't miss it. I drove up last Friday and watched the races in BG for a couple of hours. There were some great runs.

It is by inviation only. APplications were submitted Month's ago.

it would be great if he could but it doesn't work that way. I wish Paolo had his set-up done. I am sure the Vipers will get plenty of coverage!

Hello

I have switched my propane fuel adder to gasoline for this event, and have had no loss in horsepower with a marginal loss in torque. My car has been using a gasoline fuel adder with the Propane fuel adder as part of our 2 stage system for some time now....not a big deal to change over. I will be going back to the propane injection as soon as this event is over.

I cannot speak as to the results of methanol injection as it relates to water injection as a method of turning up boost. (thats a whole different topic with regards to power adders)

I look forward to meeting up with the good Dr. Roof next Thursday nite as we begin to size up the competition.

Tom -

I will be flying into Memphis Thursday morning to assist David (Dr. Roof) and offer a lending hand if you need anything.

As always, we won't be injecting any fuel other than gasoline and a dose of plain water.
I'm looking forward to facing off with the competition and know we will come prepared to fight hard! Dr. Roof has been running strong and consistent, suffice to say, I hope we can maintain the positive momentum.

For everybody in the Viper Nation we hope to stay safe, have a great time and make you proud to be a Viper Enthusiast :usa:

Doug,

Good of you to come, but leave your tools at home. There is no tuning or working on the cars allowed once we tech in on Friday morning. As a matter of fact, all of the participating cars will be impounded upon tech approval and cannot be touched again until the cruise to the track commences the following morning.

For those who want to know,

1. No changes or mods can be made once the cars arrive at Comp Cams parking lot on Friday

2. No car is allowed to fall behind the rear chase vehicle during the 30-50 mile cruise to the track...or it will be immediately disqualified.

3. No hoods, trunks or any other compartments can be opened once at the track. No adjustments can be made....not even closing nos bottles between rounds or cooling the engine with fans, etc.

4. Tire pressure is the only adjustment allowed once at the track.

5. All cars will have to pass tech inspection by track officials.

6. All cars will be completely drained of fuel and have Hot Rod provided 93 octane gasoline poured in during tech. If you run out of gas, you're out.

7. All trucks and trailers will not be allowed on comp cams grounds..or inside of the track (from what I have been told).

8. Spectators are allowed.

Just thought all of you inquiring minds would like to know.

Tom
