Dear New Jersey Members:

I just recently purchased a brand new RT/10 but I am a bit nervous before I drive it for long distances. Where can I take classes to teach me how to drive the Viper correctly? Is that an insurance break? Any help on where to take classes would be great. I do not want to end up crashing my new baby. ;) I love her way too much. :D
Thanks a lot

Hey it is better to be safe than sorry. I can drive the car perfectly but I do not want to make a stupid mistake and crash the car. I hope you understand my point of view.

Thanks

Dear SRT10:

Sorry but that was not me. My car will not be here for another few weeks due to our bad weather.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL THE INFORMATION!

Skip Barber 2 day performance driving school at Lime Rock. 25% discount for VCA members. That will get you started in the right direction.

Skip Barber is in CT correct? Do I need to bring my own vehicle? Is this driving school based only on the Viper? Is it a one on one program?

Sorry for all the questions :(

Thanks for everything!! :D

Usually the last half of the second day is in the Viper. You need nothing to bring but a decent pair of driving shoes.

Well I decided not to go for the lessons. I do not think that they are necessary. I got in the car and drove it around and as long as you do not act stupid you will be fine. It is a great car.

Skip Barber is the place.
1. Start with the 2 day school - discounted 25% to VCA members
2. Car Control Clinic, repeat as needed, 10% discount to VCA
3. Three Day racing School 10 % discount to VCA

4. Viper Days

You can move the order around for 2-4 depending on your personal goals.

you can check out the NJ Club. They are renting Pocono Raceway on April 7, 2003. You may also check out Viper Days, Nasa, they both have very highly acredited instructors. There are also other venues. You can always rent a car from the Arrive & Drive program connected with Viper Days. I know of a 95 viper, CC, or Neon for rent also that is available for track days.
