Or should I say No high drama from the BTR camp in the way of wins. Lots of high drama surrounding the event, the travel stories, the midnight and pre-event fixes and lots of other dramatic, funny and surpising moments. I can only hope that others will come on and share some of them. What a GREAT event! Got to meet alot of the forum folks and see and hear all of the big name Vipers in action.

A special THANK YOU to His Majesty Senior ([******]) AKA DYNO KING!, for the use of a differential for my customer Lee Saunders.

Trip took 18 hours from my place.

Weather was picture perfect.

Track was in great condition (during the daylight hours)

BTR Vipers performed at their peak with both Lee and Myself beating our previous best times and MPH. Lee ran 9.62 at 148 MPH with his 1996 GTS 750SS and I ran a best of 9.66 at 148 MPH with my 1997 GTS 750 SS. Unfortunately we both RED LIGHTED on Sunday, and I red lit during the Street Tire Shootout. No excuses, thats racing.

Something to note, Lee's Viper still uses the Stock Cam.....LOL.

Many awards were given out, I can only remember the ones that we received..they were;

Lee Saunders 2nd Place finish in Unlimited Class

Lee Saunders Overall Event Best 60' Time (1.406)

Tom Welch 3rd Place in Street Tire Shootout

Tom Welch Best 60' time on Stock Tires (1.735)

Tom Welch Dyno Highest Horsepower NOS only (785 RWHP @ 939 RWTQ)

Again, it was a pleasure seeing everyone again from previous events, and it was good to finally meet so many others including Ron Sr/JR from SVS, Anthony, Manny, Crockett, Paolo, GaryA(hope you don't get mad because I used your name..LOL), JasonH, Jason, Todd, David W., GTSDean and numerous others that I cannot remember right now due to "white line fever" from driving all day.

Thanks again to Dr Roof, for all of your hard work and I look forward to helping you set up the event in Feb with the Viper/Vette Shootout venue.

Take Care,

Tom

CONGRATS Tom you and Lee represented Florida well. I still like it that you guys do it with so much less money than everyone else. They better not ever start such a class for that because you guys would dominate. :2tu:

This was a great event! I think the world finally saw almost all the major players bring their "A-Games" to the show, and the weather was just about as perfect as it could be. No excuses for/from anyone.

I see the makings of lasting friendships which will rival the Viper Days contingent. The biggest difference I see is that the partying associated with the V-10 Nationals is a minimum of 6x-10x that of Viper Days. You just can't do that and endure 20-30+ minute lapping sessions several times a day afterward.

I believe I'm finally starting to enjoy this whole "drag racing thing."

You need to change your sig, congrats on the 9 sec. run. I missed most of the race but got there in time to see some of the finals and to say high to some friends. I enjoyed watching the SVS Viper on the last run of the day, very impressive.
BTR Tom and gang, your entire team always puts on a good showing. I understand that your drive to Texas was an event on it's own.

1tony1, hope you had a great time, did you fly & watch or drive and race?

Great showing and a sincere THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE THE RACE HAPPEN.
Florida, get ready the V-10 Nationals will be heading your way.

Nick Field
I enjoyed seeing you this time under a more friendly sky and looking forward to some great times on and off the track.

With plenty of notice we should be able to arrange and set time a'side for the race.

How did you do at the track? I got there late and missed much of the race.

It seemed that more Vipers than usual broke.

Race on
