Here I was, taking the snake for a stroll tonight and saw a car I'd never even heard of before. Maybe some of you real car aficionado's have seen these. It was a Noble M12 GTO 3R. Holy Toledo!!! It weighs 2100 lbs and puts out 400hp. Apparently the rolling chassis is made in South Africa, then shipped to Ohio where a Ford V6 with Twin Turbos is installed. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $95K. What an awesome little car. Kind of reminds me of the Lotus. The owner was kind enough to pull over and chat for awhile (as he's a big Viper fan too). Anybody driven one?

I drove the Noble 2 weeks ago. Was hanging out at the Brian Redman Vintage Racing up at Road America in WI. They had a Noble on hand and let me take it for a drive. The car is actually really well put together and screams. Hard to believe this car is faster and a lot better handling then my Viper. The car has the handling of a go cart but only a little bigger then the Lotus. The car accelerates so smooth with the twin turbos. This was about the only car I've found worth selling the Viper until I saw the $95K price tag.

They only have 125 in the US now and are limited currently to 6 per month. They currently have a waiting list. The car is really cool but I could buy 3 of my current Viper (94) for the price of this car. Just doesn't seem like a reasonable purchase.

They are awesome on the road course. You can actually acquire one for around $89K (rolling chasis is only $59K). The M12 produces 352 bhp and 350 torque (and weighs 2300 pounds). The M400 version has 425 bhp and 390 torque (forged pistons, larger turbos- higher boost, higher-lift cam), along with a stiffer suspension and less weight (no AC)- definitely a beast at the track!
