Im thinking about trying to add a little NOS.
What brand kits are the best and most complete and where can you get them.
Any help from yalls experience would be appreciated.

Macedo Motorsports installed a custom Nytrex system in my 2000 ACR to compliment my Paxton powered engine. +200rwhp when the Nitrous gets turned on. To be safe you would probably be much better off to get an experienced Tuner (like DC Performance or Macedo Motorpsorts) to at least design the kit for YOUR car and what YOU wnat out of it.

There are double bottle systems that will last twice as long. I have a pressure activated bottle blanket, power opener, bleed, quick release billet Bottle brackets and a high volume Walbro fuel tank pump replacement.

One error or mistake and you could easily hurt your engine. It is very important that a Nitrous System be designed and installed properly. A 50-100hp system is not very delicate, but when you start pushing 200-300hp it should be done proffessionally.

I think that Nitrous is perfect for occaissional speed contests. Nitrous make a constant hp and that is not related to engine rpm. 5th gear speed contests using Nitrous work past the TOO High 5th gear and add full power even though the engine is running lower rpms than it should.

You must be registered for see images

A well designed Nitrous system is as safe as any engine system if properly designed and cared for. Nitrous Oxide is easy to attain and not explosive. Nitrous is cheap to refill. Living in a rural area 200 miles from the nearest welding/gas shop makes Nitrous a pain for people like myself as it would take about a week to get a bottle filled. Any city only requires driving to a speed shop filling station and about a half hour wait. Usual cost is about $50 per 10# bottle.

nitrodave taught me a lot.
nitrous express is the only kit id ever use.
WET ONLY
2 bottle heaters to keep the pressure even and at 1050psi in both bottles
some guys will say fuel cutoff switch but i didnt use one.
i wonder if the SCT can help spray the shot like i didwith a vec2 ??....might wanna ask dan lesser
tune it slowly on a dyno after you install and double check everything

nitrous is a blast to use

I have the BTR NOS/propane kit. I love it. my car is a heads/cam 2001 that made 612 rwhp all motor 3 yrs ago when I built it. I got use to the power and wanted some more so I put on the NOS kit, started with a 150 shot and am now at a 225 shot. It's loads of fun, and I cant even count how many bottles I have sprayed threw it, but it's allot. No problems.

I have talked with a few people and have heard good things about Nitro Dave and nitrous outlet setup, thinking of trying this one.

I was going to try and run 1-15# bottle and keep one as a spare filled up on the side.. anyone running a 15# bottle and how well does it fit in the trunk of an 04'

i kinda remember an argument for running the 2 bottles at the same time. i think it has to do with a more constant pressure and something with better flow. ya might wanna search that

Most of the US kits/components are similar, the two largest suppliers are NOS and NX. A 100 shot is fairly simple, but, once you start you will not stop at the 100 mark. At a 100 shot you do not need propane, plus, there are issues with propane especially in cold weather areas.

i have run the BTR, both dry and then with propane. i then tried hybrid NX and MOS systems and finally ended up with a WON (Wizards of Nitrous) system. The WON system is out of England and it has some very innovative aspects. In short, if you only want to do a single stage 100 shot, any of them will work.

In ending, do not go this route until you install a wideband a/f logger, Secondly, do not go dry. There are some 100 shot dry kits available, they are similar to playing Russian roulette.

One warning, do not use nitrous unless you first install a wideband a/f logger, a gauge alone will not give you the correct data.
