Years ago I used to run nose bras on my cars because they were stylish. Now I am beginning to think I need one for the front end of my Viper. Every time I go out, I come back with bugs splattered all over the front end. Any ideas on a good bra that won't damage the paint and is easy to work with?

Mopar one has worked fine for us when doing track events and highway runs and saved the car from some chips.
Usually only run with the bottom since the top will start flapping above 100mph.
take it off to shake out the sand and grit they pick up or it will scratch the paint on the chin.

You can even get a bra that is color matched.(YES, even for you guys out there with STRIPES) I only have one bra from these guys. Great quality but really pricey. Over $550..OUCH

Mopar bra works great. I only use mine on long trips, but it is nice to have when I need it and it only takes a couple minutes to put on after the first time.
Like others said though, I wouldn't drive with it all the time!

I have one but only use it on long trips. Vipers are just too exotic looking to cover up.
Then there's the road grit that acumulates under the mask which precipitates the very thing they are intended to prevent.
Think of using a front end mask as safe sex (I despise the term bra, especially when used in the same sentence with Viper). It's still fun but .....

Nose bras were stylish? Not in my lifetime. I rank them up there with luggage racks.
Get the 3M if you're really set on protecting the fascia. I've got 80K on my "naked" fascia and I'm just going to have it repainted when I feel like it.

If you really want a viper bra like the one Marv shows above, I will send you the one I had for my 97 GTS. It is just collecting dust in my garage and is in perfect shape. You will have to get the snaps that go on the car to hold the bra in place since they were left on my 97 GTS when I sold it. You will just have to pay the postage to get the bra to you. I put a 3M clear bra on my SRT and I have an SRT bra (Mopar) still in the box if anyone wants to make me an offer for it.

I've been using the mopar and it has worked great, that is until I went to Poconco, hit 155 on the back straight and it started coming apart at the snaps by the front wheel well. I had a friend fix it up, we'll see next year how it holds up. I'd like to do the 3M job. Wish there was someone near upper westchester who could do it.

For those with the 3m protection, does it come just to the line below the headlights? If not what area gets covered? Anyone with a pic on black car? thanks, John

Riverflyer..It is custom done, at least the guy I used has different gauge 3M for different areas of the car. For example on the bottom part of my facia he used a heavier gauge to protect on scrapes and stones as opposed to the hood area and side rockers..

Marv, I will pm you. You are right but I have not gotten a good picture of my SRT that I want as an avatar. Plus, I have been thinking of getting a GTS and supercharging it. The main problem is garage space. I have been waiting 10 months for the concrete mason to finish a engineered retaining wall for this great golf course lot that I have and hopefully it will done by Christmas(what year I do not know since he is an idiot and there is so much construction going on I cannot get someone to replace him). Anyway, the future house, four to six car garage and RV garage is on hold until then.

up to the naca duct.. The guy I used has the stuff in sheets and custom cuts to whatever you want. Doesn't use a precut kit..

If you go the 3M route you might only want the pieces for the fascia. There are other pieces for the front 12 inches or so of the hood as well as the mirrors and you will probably notice the line where the film stops. It's not that big of deal but some of the queenies might b*tch.

When you say complete do you mean just facia, and or hood, and lens?
