I suggest that you join for a year. If you don't get your moneys worth, don't renew.
There are different levels of participation. The more you get involved the more you get out of it. It depends what you want.

I joined so I could get my Viper magazine delivered to my door 3 months late, I don't know about the rest of you. LOL Seriously, just knowing that you are in a club that takes care of it's own is reason enough for me. Go to a club event or VOI and you will see what I mean.

In my short time in the VCA I've met some great people, participated and planned cruises/meetings, and drove in the parade lap at the Las Vegas 400 w/ Matt Kenseth.
The tons of info here is an added bonus.

Not sure what region y'all are in. Our region is pretty active and we definitely get our $100 out of it. Sometimes in food alone. And subsidized x-mas party... and subsidized events... and a nice VCA board where people don't yell at each other that often...

And then, of course, we have the raffles... someone said that.

Look at all those mods you've got. I have to imagine that you didn't just pick them all out of a hat. It with resources like viperclub.org that makes a ton of research available at your fingertips.

The money I've saved from the board has been HUGE! Of course, I learned about supercharger vendors and spent some $$ on that... but the point is that the knowledge was well worth the $100 / year.

It's the events, cars and the people you meet. If that doesn't do it, don't join. I've been a VCA member since 97/98. I had the pleasure of being at Le Mans in 1998 when the Vipers won. Pit access and all the goodies. Yeah, I'd say the VCA has it's benefits mainly in the exclusive events. Also, the SRT was made available to VCAers first. Your mileage might vary.

Two words: Key Chain. I've got so many free key chains from the VCA every year I'm gonna need a few more Vipers to use them on. You guys got some you ain't using?

I gotta say that I joined (only an associate member) for the opportunity to become a more active member of the Viper community. Although I do not own one, so far I think it has been well worth my dues (and I have only been to 1 event!) just because of the people. Every person I have met so far that is a VCA member has been wicked cool. I am looking forward to participating much more in the future. I agree with most of these guys that say try it for a year, if you don't like it, you can always just not renew.

If you join the GA VCA Here are a few things we did this year:

Paid dinner for monthly meetings ( at least 20$ a person)_
In car instruction @ track days
Dyno Day 5/15 FREE
Trophy's at competitive events
X mas party $50 per person
Thats just since December, so the dyno day & X mas party alone you have your $100 back, not to mention all the intangibles that are available to you.

I have received discounts from certain vendors for being a VCA member that exceeded the $100 to join. So I guess I got my moneys worth already. Atleast I got the $100 back in discounts.

Magazine for 100 bucks no way but the events many of the regions sponsor, well worth it, heck I lose more than that in the wash !!

HARDVIPER.
Welcome to the Southern California ViperClub. We have lots of events coming up, including Open Road Racing, and the One Mile Drag Race. We will be having the All American ViperClub Picnic in Irvine, The August Willow Springs open track event, Meguiars detailing day, and many other events.
PM me to obtain the passwords for the website. In addition the San Diego group is very active. Your local shop, West Coast Vipers, in Temecula will offer club members discounts on Viper Services.
Thinking of all the ways you could spend $100 on your Viper, this will be the best bang for the buck.
Welcome again to the worlds largest regional ViperClub.

The key chain was not this year's gift, it was either 1 or 2 years ago that it was the gift.
