I have a 1993, so it MUST be OBD-1, not OBD-2.

Motor seems to have small hick-up's...

You're better off getting a snanner that shows ongoing data and not just codes!Just a thought!

Do you have a check engine light? Reader is not much help without a code being set.

As was mentioned a scan tool is a better option.

If it is showing a CEL AutoZone will scan and clear it for free.

My car has never thrown any codes, not once.

I need more of a diagnostics tool than code reader, somethings that reads the ongoing data, like grcforce327 hinted...

Sorry there are two types of OBD scanners, code and diagnostic. Here is the diagnostic version I own :

Kinda expensive for occasional use but invaluable for diagnosing issues with modified engines.

Roe stocks the Ease product. If your computer/laptop does not have a serial port be sure to get the USB version.
