I've loved my car for years but have actually only owned one for about two weeks now. I have noticed that I get LOTS of positive comments on the car but a few guys I work with now treat me different like I'm snobby to them or something along those lines, these are guys I have worked with for the last three years and now I can't even get a conversation out of them about the weather, it's just plain wierd to me....

Well,first time i saw it i looked at all posts and since it was right after my post,i figured for some reason it must be aimed at me. He hadn't quoted anyone so wasn't sure. I don't think i have ever even talked to the guy so don't know why he was directing his childish remarks to me. (if he was)...oh well,if he wants to smack talk with me i at least will get to know why?

I always get the comment " must be nice to be rich" from guys 35 to 60 years old. I then ask them if they happen to own a diesel truck and a 5th wheel holiday trailer. Most of them say yes they do, at which time I explain to them that there $60,000.00 diesel and $40,000.00 trailer, cost more than my 2008 SSG Viper. I think most people think Vipers cost a lot more than they actually do.

I've tried to explain a few times to people that ANYBODY can afford a Viper. The haters who think it's impossible just haven't really thought it through. All one needs to do it to re-prioritize their spending habits and lifestyle choices. I've seen many a people who just can't seem to get ahead in life and are stuck renting, with little to no food, and basically living paycheck to paycheck.
EXAMPLE - Guys that have worked for me in the past - I have added up their monthly expenditures and (in a somewhat subtle fashion) have explained that, for instance, if they quit smoking 3 packs a day, reduce drinking to an occaisonal thing instead of daily, stop spending money on lap dances, stay away from the casinos, eat in at home instead of out every meal that they can save anywhere from $1000 to $2000 and beyond every single month. All of a sudden -WOW- they can afford a house, or a Viper, OR BOTH.
