Oil cooler and radiator

[Chuck 98 RT/10]

It looks like I have a leak in the oil cooler. It's at the connection so I might be able to braze it. If not, what kind of replacement cooler should I get? Stock or aftermarket? What’s the cost?

While I have the front fascia off I’m thinking of upgrading the radiator to a larger capacity. Anybody got any suggestions?

What would be the benefit of a radiator switch? I know a lot of guys w/ aluminum radiators)

Trey, my GTS already had an oversized radiator and runs at a very comfortable temp even at the track. My RT/10 gets very hot on the streets here in Florida. I'm just wondering if there are any options that I haven't heard of.

But does changing your radiator make the Viper run cooler? I've heard different things on both ends. If it does then I'd change mine too, but I'm scared to leave the factory one. I had a 97 that I put an aluminum radiator in but it didn't help. My Viper tech said I should have stayed w/ the factory one. But I think I may have had other problems w/ that car & I'm just trying to make my 01 better.

Trey, most important is the capacity of the radiator. I believe stock rads are 2 core. I'm sure a larger rad would cool it down a bit and since I have the fascia off I figure it might be a good time to do it. Twenty years ago there were places that would enlarge the radiator. Don't know if that's still done today.

Chuck, I think Fluidyne (SP?) makes a larger rad for you. Snake oil makes an oil cooler i beileve. Cost, no clue...
