Oil Dripping from A/C Compressor?

So, I had the GTS out for some summer fun, only to notice that some fluid was dripping from under the driver's side. Sniff and paper towel test revealed that it is not: brake, pwr. steering, or engine oil. The oil is clear and smells like somewhat like brake fluid. I was running the A/C and it looks to be originating from under the compressor somewhere. The system is/was working wonderfully. Where could it be leaking from? The two O-rings that give a lot of trouble are dry. Ideas?

From the compressor shaft seal, perhaps? Any sling in the area/back of the pulley?
Are you sure it's not running from somewhere, is it on the frame rail or crossmember at all?
Best if you could get it up in the air and under it with some good light.

I think he's aware of that, there's only so many sources on the compressor it could be coming from, as stated in the OP he's sure it's not the 0-rings at the line connectors, the next most likely place would be the seal at the input shaft to the compressor. I thought I was pretty clear on what I was refering to. No?

Check the drains @ the bottom of your airbox. If there is oil there that's where it is originating and dripping down the front of your motor. It's blow-by, you'll have to install a catch can to stop it.

It is definitely not blow by, as it is limited to the area around the a/c compressor. There is oil on the top of the frame and it increases with the pump activated. I like the idea of the shaft seal causing the issue. I will jack it up and put some light on the subject. I suppose that a new compressor is in the offing. I'm sure it is very inexpensive....

After a long underbody inspection and cleaning, which was way more interesting than just finding the oil leak, I started the engine and activated the a/c. Oil was seeping from the joint between the compressor halves, as well as a small amount from my freshly installed O-rings. (strange) Is there a special compound o-ring that can resist the heat in that area?
