A sputter or miss every few seconds when idling. Seems to run fine under acceleration. Any ideas before I get started to the local shop for diagnostics? I am immediatly thinking bad gas??? :dunno: I have a "CarMd" diagnostics tool that I used for the first time but it gave me a "0". Hope I am using it correctly! Seems to run fine under acceleration. I am stock except for K&N filters, Corsa w/RT cats. Thanks all!

Just drive it and see what happens with a new tank. Whats the worst that could happen?

i agree, no more bad gas.

wires ? plugs ?...how old are they ?
Had the car for 3 years to date. Put on maybe 25K miles. Had Magnacore wires when I got it and I don't know if those are stock. Has the same plugs as when I took ownership. Car has 68K miles. Been running great with absolutly no issues at all! Very little spirited driving unless Chad comes down! :D Thinking I'll run the gas out of it tomorrow and then take the next step, whatever that may be!

I'll see what the weekend ends up like and then make a call to Chuck on Monday if she's still acting up. Gonna run some good injector cleaner through as well. I heard Techron was good. What's a decent set of wires run without breaking the bank Plum. Also, what plugs would you run? 01 RT/10 stock except for 3" Corsa, RT cats and K&N. Thanks!

25k miles in 3 years on the same plugs? I'd change them yearly. Even on mine, I replace my plugs yearly with less than 3k miles a year. Yes, it's overkill, but at least the plugs come right out without having any antiseize on them. :D

The first time I changed them, I used the Champion RC12LYC plugs. The next 3 changes I went with the Champion RC12ECC plugs. Both work just fine on my 97 GTS.

Plugs then wires are on the top of the list for sure. Was on my to do list for the Summer anyway. Thanks for the plug info and whats the difference in the 2 plugs? Little hotter?

RC12LYC plugs were OEM for the Gen 2. RC12ECC were OEM for the Gen 3. The LYC is a single copper and the ECC is a double copper. The double copper is supposed to not retain heat as much as the LYCs. Other than that, they are the same plug. I'm sure someone else will chime in with a better answer, but that's all the info I can recall.

My car runs the same with both plugs, so I doubt you can go wrong with either plug.

Interested to see how you made out with the plugs and new fuel. I would have thought that fuel/spark issues would have been more pronounced at WOT, the idle thing is tougher to figure out...

Good luck curing it and let us know what worked.:2tu:
