I'm 6'2 and I fit fine in my RT w/o a lowering kit. With a hard top on, I still have 3" of clearance.

You should be fine in either one, worst case you get the lowering rails

6'5", with 2" lowering kit and I fit great, even with a Helmet on. I would suggest that you sit in a RT/10 with the top off and check to see how high your head sticks out!
You will be more than happy either way! Good luck!

GTS! The folding roof on the RT-10 is absolutely the worst design ever. IF you really want the open topped car, during a test drive, ask if you can remove and reinstall the roof. You will end up needing help the first time, and I hope you don't damage it too badly, but you will understand. Then if you buy it, make sure it's got a hard top too!

Venom,

RT/10 is the way to go! As for putting the soft top together, once you do it a few times it gets easy. It takes me less than 5 minutes to put it on. Can't go wrong with either car though. Good luck in your search!

RT/10 folding top, EASY? The targa top on my 911 could be done from the drivers seat in 30 seconds. The one on my 308GTSi was even better, no folding and it stored perfectly behind the seats. The viper top must be velcro'd and tucked and perfectly folded before you put in that silly bag. Sqeezing it in the trunk is another tough job. Put it in wrong and something will come out damaged! Five minutes getting soaked in the rain was too much for me (car stayed dry though, it only took 10 sec to throw the car cover on)

Try out both. I'm 6'1" and 225 lbs and fit well in my rt/10 with a seat lowering kit. Maybe a bit snug but that's fine with me. I test drove a GTS about 2 months ago that did not have the seat lowering kit and I felt a bit cramped. I still loved it though. I'm sure a seat lowering kit would have helped out. Maybe sometime in the near future I can be like Chuck and have two vipers.

I think the GTS looks better, but having a convertible top did it for me. I'm 6'3 and I fit fine in either one. I don't think the headroom will be an issue, just do whichever looks the best. By the way, in my avatar, I'm sticking my head out. That's not how I normally fit.

I am barely 6ft and the RT10 is a tight fit for me. But my legs are short and my torso taller. I have more room in the GTS.

Ride in a RT10 at highway speed. It is NOISEY. I wouldn't take a trip more than an hour or so in one. For a driver...forget it.

my friend is about 6'4 6'5 and when he sat in the passenger seat, his eyes were looking over the top of the windsheild so....either way i dont think there is any substitute for a drop top, and folding the top gets easier with practice, im down to just over 3 minutes hehe , its getting it in the **** trunk that takes forever

I have both and would have to vote for the GTS. The weather where I live is one factor and your weather should be similar to mine. I'm 6'2" and find the GTS very comfortable even with a helmet. I don't have a hardtop for the RT so am stuck with the after-thought soft top. My head is directly under one of the rails and rubs on it if I sit up straight. When I hit a bump I get smacked. Therefore I drive with my head tilted to one side. I've considered getting a hardtop but don't feel much need since I have the GTS. Also, the soft top rattles terribly. I fixed it by putting some stick-em weather stripping under the ends of each rail. I never disassemble the soft top. It is on in the winter and stored in the summer.

So, if you get an RT/10 make sure it has a hard top with head room. Otherwise, get a GTS.

Since you live in Canada ask yourself how often you plan on driving it.

I had the same dilema about a month ago before I bought.
Here's what switched me: If you drive often, you'll have the hardtop on more than off an you won't even notice the one thing that the RT has (benefit wise) over the GTS. I'd enumerate them but I did that once and it's about a page of text.

In any event, I'm 6'6" (so I win

) but here's what I found:

w/o seat drop:
-knees don't fit w/o pain
-RT w/hard top doesn't allow enough headroom (about 3" short)
-GTS allows about 3" to spare

w/ seat drop (2"):
-knees barely fit, but it's very driveable and comfortable in it's own way
-RT - don't know, I might fit.
-GTS I have about 5"-6" of headroom.

Don't drop it 2" if you want to put an amp under the seat though (I found out the hard way). Use the 1" instead, if you even need one, SHORTY!

I'm 6'3", have one of each (RT/10 & GTS), and have no problem with head room in either one. If you go with the GTS, you may want to remove the visor if you find it obstructs your view.

Viper Fact: All women love Vipers

Viper RT/10 Fact: All women become very promiscuous when near an RT/10.

Sitting at a local club in the summer, roof off, brings many interesting offers from women. Scary thing is, men too. Men wanna ride, women want to ride.
