OK-so I\'m an idiot but I need some help with my top

Since I have only put the soft top on 3 or 4 times I hope I won't get slammed to bad.

Last time I put it on I wasn't careful and when I put the top on I didn't line up the snap with the pin and it is jammed next to the pin. I've tried pulling as hard as I feel safe but I can't get the top off.

What can I do? Should I take it to the dealer so if the top gets broken it's their fault? Should I try to loosen the sports bar? If you think I should try loosening the sports bar what size nut holds the pin in?

The weather is getting nice and I want to drive around ******* :)

If I understand this correctly the little sissor latch didn't latch around the pin like it should, instead the moveable blade of the sissor came down on the same side as the stationary blade?

If so, it may have dug into the foam material of the bolted on section of the sport bar. Removing the bolts may loosen it enough for you to give it a good tug out.

In the future when installing either top, before pressing down on the back reach under the sport bar and make certain the sissor latches are in the correct positions around the pin.

had this happen afew times. look at under side of roll hoop at openings. the latch is probably crossed over. press on latch release and push up through w/ blunt object. PITA. So you dont do it again, hold release open before seating. Watch viper for place/remove an check my post in buying a top.
