Open House Rescheduled

Please someone help me come up with a date that will suite all for our first open house. I want to have a good turn out for lunch and a place to meet, eat and see your cars. I am thinking 2nd weekend of May any ideas would be appreciated. I also need a weather date. Thanks for your help@!

Bernie, as you're finding out, May is a hard month to find time for. George and I have been trying to plan a cruise and cookout for the Tidewater area for May, and each weekend is full. The second weekend is a SCCA track event at VIR. I don't know how many club members will go to that, but George, John, myself, and Dale will be going. The next weekend is the event in the Richmond area. We are planning on doing our event on Sat. May 26. More details to come on another thread. Tom (Silver GTS)

Bernie, what about May 26? I think George Murry may be planning something in the Tidewater area on either May 26 or 28. I've got a call into him. Perhaps he could organize a cruise to your open house for his event.

May 12 is the NAPA Car show. It's held at the NAPA at 800 Southlake Blvd. which is off of Midlothian Turnpike. They normally have about 200 cars. It's a charity event. I was planning on bringing my 39 Chevy but if you'll bring one of your Vipers I'll go ahead and bring both my 39 Chevy and my Viper. Perhaps Brad could bring your Charger SRT-8 with the 426 Indy Hemi. Some of the guys might like to see it.

Tom how do you and the guys in your area feel about May 26th, I was considering June 2 but am a little concerned that the Crab Feast is the following weekend. Please chime in I am anxious to put this behind me and have a party Viper style.

Bernie, I have not put out anything official on our event here in Tidewater, so why don't you go ahead and take that date. (the 26'th) In fact I'll just work on the people in this area and try to get a parade of cars up to your place.
What I'm working on is a cruise through some back roads ( it's been fun laying out the route! ), and a club sponsered cookout here at my place. I live on a golf course, so there is a least that activity for folks. After the cookout, we'll cruise up to a weekly car meet in Va. Beach that is WAY too dominated by Mustangs and "vettes. A long line of Vipers will be a great change. We had 4 of us last Saturday, and needless to say, we got a lot of attention. We'll plan for the end of June or early July. Tom

Howard unfortunately my wife rules. The Open House is going to be scheduled for June 2nd the weekend before the Crab Feast. I wanted to have it May 26, 2007 but we were both afraid that most people would already have family plans for the Labor Day weekend. So with that said I will officially put it on our web site and have hopefully one of you guys put it on the Gen I/II -Gen III forums. If i post it I will have my hands slapped as it will be considered soliciting as I am a Vendor!
