I've got a 2001 ACR, and have recently changed it's battery from the stock Mopar unit to an Optima. As others have posted, the Optima battery model #7535 fits. However, what have all of you done about the battery temperature sensor? This temp sensor presses against the back side of the battery -- which works well if the back of the battery is flat. The Optima is shaped more like a 6-pack, so the sensor doesn't make a good surface contact with the curved surfaces. Is this going to be a problem? Will the Viper's alternator overheat an Optima?
