Will be joining the Viper family soon. Ordered my Stryker Purple ACR Extreme from Bill Pemberton (Bill has been fantastic to deal with). Should be driving the snake by the spring!

I've been a long time Porsche guy, and was looking to upgrade to a GT3 from my Cayman R. But the price insanity (20k+ over Msrp for a GT3 or 100k+ for a RS...no thanks) has completely soured me. So the Viper will be a great change of pace and just a wee bit more powerful :omg:.

Oh yes. Definitely going to take some getting used to the ACR. Most of the cars I've raced have been much less powerful, no aero, but also significantly lighter. I've raced 914s, 911 turbos, spec boxster, but I'm most comfortable in my 1992 964 cup, which is all of 260hp but only weighs ~2450lbs. Can't wait to drive a car that can actually power up the toe at Watkins Glen!

Congratulations, and welcome! There are a lot of great people here and endless amounts of knowledge to draw on. I love the stryker purple color. I agree
20k over any sticker price is insanity. Some dealers were charging at least that and up for a new hellcat. I hope you truly enjoy your car.

Thanks all! It's winter up here (Boston) so I won't be driving the snake anytime soon. But I can hardly wait!

A few gratuitous pictures of the garage and current projects.

First several are of my GT5 Boxster project. 2.5L engine (tiny I know) and my motec wiring project (which has take way too long to do). last few are of the 1992 964...the race car that actually still runs!

BTW, very nice garage....wish I had a lift :2tu:
My lift is probably my favorite tool...or the Miller Dynasty 200 Tig welder...or the soda blast cabinet...ah heck, I like all tools! But no doubt the best feature of the garage is having heat.

I love the next to last photo. Road Atlanta is awesome and that hill is thrilling.:drive:
Road Atlanta is awesome. I haven't been back since that race (2007) so it's been a while. Would like to try and make it back with the ACR. If my 964 cup was a 1:34 car, the ACR has to be a ~1:25 car, which is just insanely fast

Side note, I loaded up the Cayman R tonight; it's off to its next owner. First step done, now really can't wait for the ACR!
