Congrats! Once received, I would idle it for 30 minutes and change the oil and filter three consecutive times THEN break it in gently and change the oil and filter again. But that's just me . I would also recommend against any modding.

Those motors are dyno tested, taking it easy is the last thing you want to do. Technically, because of the testing done in the factory, the rings should be setting, but taking it easy on a new motor could cause them to seat improperly. Just my .02. The results speak for themselves in motors ive built. One motor took an AWD 90 Talon (not mine) to 14.09 in the 1/4 dead stock/full interior with only mods being a K&N and manual boost controller set at 16psi (above the 11.4 stock).
I'm talking about eliminating the possibility of metal shavings or any debris that might obstruct the oil filter and cause some sort of oil starvation leading to a spun bearing.
